The new apprentices have arrived

On August 1, 2019 14 new apprentices in various professions started at J.H.K. For this special day, the instructors from our sites in Ahlhorn and Bremerhaven as well as the personnel department had planned a introductory programme. It started a 9 a.m. when the apprentices of Bremerhaven and Ahlhorn met in the head quarter in Bremerhaven. After a short round of interviews Julius Kramer made the kick-off and intoruduced the apprentices in the JHK group with a presentation. During the following site visit the apprentices got an impression of the company site in Bremerhaven.

Martin Janssen, responsible for the topic “HSEQ” at J.H.K. gave a first instruction on work safety. The apprentices immediately learned how important this topic is at J.H.K. After the instruction all participants were barbecuing together.

The introductory day was finalized by a creative part: The game “the flying egg” had the apprentices design various flight constructions so that an egg “survives” the flights from the second floor. Great ideas came out of it and three of four eggs landed undamaged.

We wish all of our apprentices a very successful start in their apprenticeship.

Totally 14 apprentices started at J.H.K.:

  • 5 as Plant mechanic apparatus and boiler construction
  • 1 as Plant mechanic sanitary, heating and air-conditioning
    • 2 as Electronics technician
  • 1 as Office management clerk
  • 3 as Metal workers – construction technology
  • 2 as Building and object coaters
