Irene S., Projektcontrollerin, G & K Montagengesellschaft

How was your career at J.H.K. going?
In 2007 I had already done my professional training as industrial clerk at J.H.K. I got an unlimited contract and in the following years, besides the work in evening school, I acquired a business administration degree and a bachelor's degree. The company supported me in all aspects: besides the financial support I could also plan my vacation flexibly during the examination phases. After this education I wanted to absolutely work in the project management and together with the management I had the idea of project controlling.

What is your task now at J.H.K.?
I am mainly working in the project controlling. This means that I have a look into the projects together with the respective project managers, I create and maintain respective observation tools and report to our management. It is great that I have the opportunity to develop this area further and to incorporate my own ideas.

What do you like in particular about the J.H.K. Group?
The flexibility every single colleague as well as the company always show including the kind and manner how the company meets all challenges. The motto “to make the impossible possible for our customers” makes all colleagues act in concert and bring special projects to success.
In particular, I personally like the fact that the J.H.K. group promotes its employees and that good work is honoured. This is a great motivator to me.
And there are a lot of wonderful colleagues who make the working atmosphere so amazing.

What was your greatest challenge up to now?
In retrospect it was the challenge to combine studies, work and private life successfully.

When does a working day end successfully for you?
This is a very difficult question. If the to-do-list is done at closing time it feels, of course, good.
But ultimately, I think that every day is a success when progress is made.

How do you imagine your future at J.H.K.?
To me it is important that there is no standstill. That is why I would like to continue to develop my professional and work skills and abilities, so that I can ultimately play my part in the continued success of the company. I am therefore looking forward to new challenges and areas of responsibility at the J.H.K. Group

How would you describe the DNA of J.H.K.?

  • Flat hierarchies because I can discuss many topics directly with the management
  • Openness for new topics and open communication
  • Family business
