Spending a summer on the Weser...
... that is what a maintenance team of the J.H.K. Group is doing in Langwedel, because once again we have bundled our group competences and won a public tender.
Several defective steel components and riveted joints have been found on the approximately 60-year-old weir system in Langwedel in the course of the regular structural inspection. The defective steel components and rivet joints have to be renewed. Moreover, the front seal and the two side shield seals of the right weir field are exchanged. Finally the corrosion protection is touched up in the respective areas.
The following works are demanded for the trades steel construction, coating and scaffolding:
- Renewal of several steel components
- Exchange of about 60 rivets and 700 screws
- Decoating and coating
- Renewal of front seal
- Renewal of both side shield seals
- Scaffolding
Here the J.H.K. Group can prove besides its offer performance the high quality in execution and adherence to delivery dates and thus give a recommendation to renew six further weir systems on the Weser. This success is once again proof how we accept and successfully deal with trade-overlapping challenges by bundling our competencies within the J.H.K. Group.
A cordial “Thank you” to all involved colleagues!
